What did you do for your last vacation? Did you have fun? Did you find something thrilling? Was there some time to kick back and relax or did your last vacation consist of getting your family to and fro, with a little yard work and household chores thrown in? Would you consider your last "vacation" a "staycation"? Why not go for something different this year? Next time you have a few days off, why not test one of the local adventure travels. If crossing the state line is not an option, there are probably many different adventures you can participate in. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket, why not experience a true adventure? Here are some crowd-pleasing adventure travels.

Mountain climbing is a thrilling example of extreme adventure travels. The West Coast Mountain Guides take adventure seekers out on climbing expeditions on a regular basis. You can take a pick from various destinations throughout the western Canadian provinces. Adventurers can pick from rock climbing, ice climbing or even snow mountaineering. If you really want an adventure they will take you on a trek that will involve all three.

Before you head out on one of these vacations, however, make sure you are in top physical shape. Mountain climbing experiences are not to be had by apathetic and out-of-shape individuals!

Shark Diving is not for the light hearted but it can be incredibly exciting. The Shark Diver Company has package deals for adventurers that will allow them to shark dive in Mexico or California. A word of warning: adventure travels like these cost quite a bit of money. A single person can usually spend around three thousand dollars for the trip. But most of these trips last for at least five days. You will need to be certified in diving before you go on a trip like this. You don't want to get stuck on the boat for your whole vacation!
Have you ever thought about taking a deep sea fishing trip? For a majority of people, fishing doesn't enter their minds when they dream about adventure travels. At any rate, fishing becomes a completely new adventure when you are out in the middle of a giant blue ocean. For starters, you typically fight much larger fish, plus you may have to fight the elements of the sea. Possibilities are endless when you're out at sea. After you decide what type of deep-sea fish you want to wrangle into a boat, you'll be able to figure out your destination. However, if you prefer, you can always choose your location based on climate and "home base" scenery. One highly regarding place for deep-sea fishing is Hawaii. How about a beach? Maybe the tropical weather will do you great! Boracay Hotels is a must if you want to have a great time and relax.

Adventure travels don't always have to be about a death defying defeat. You can have a perfectly adventurous vacation without bungee jumping, sky diving or hoping that a shark won't bite through a cage. Concurrently, for the adrenaline junkies, that risk is only part of the joy of an adventure bases vacation.

The best way to have a truly adventurous vacation is to challenge yourself and still having a fabulous time. Get on with it!
